A divorce party is a guest-list problem before it is a nightlife problem. The honoree usually wants a small circle of people who already know the story, not a surprise office pickup and not a “last night of freedom” costume crawl. A reserved dinner for eight can be a sprinter or a limousine. A louder send-off with coolers can be a party bus. If the plan is one table and everyone can arrive on their own, skip the bus.

The previous page treated empowerment lighting and a stocked wet bar as the product. Those features exist on some party-bus units, but they are not a divorce-party package. Party bus rentals typically include a wet bar area and cooler space so guests 21+ can bring their own beverages. Glass, open containers at stops, and venue rules still apply. The White Horse FAQ says the Comal Street honky tonk is always 21+, does not take reservations, and is wheelchair accessible—useful for live music, useless if anyone is under 21.

Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar lists 421 East 6th Street. Check the current cover and whether the group can sit together before adding it. The Roosevelt Room, in the Warehouse District, says reservations are strongly suggested for its seated cocktail experience. A transportation quote does not reserve a table or a mezzanine. Stubb’s Bar-B-Q’s official site places the restaurant and live-music rooms at 801 Red River Street. A dinner there is not the same plan as a ticketed show; send the reservation or door time.

These names appeared on the previous page as a vibe list. They are three different vehicle problems. Visit Austin describes Rainey Street as bungalows turned into bars and dining beside downtown and Lady Bird Lake, and says street parking is extremely limited. The district’s plan-your-visit page names a rideshare drop at 605 Davis Street. Do not assume a bus can idle at a bungalow porch. Ask the quote to name a legal loading point for your date.

Visit Austin’s Sixth Street page says the district is closed to through traffic Thursday through Saturday nights. A Saturday East 6th stop needs a legal curb plan and a walk—not “drop at the door.” South Congress is a walkable corridor supported by the South Congress Public Improvement District. Visit Austin lists dining, live music, and the “i love you so much” mural at Jo’s Coffee as an optional walk, not a circling route. Dinner on South Congress plus later downtown bars sit on different sides of the river and change the hours. The Domain is a separate North Austin Simon center at 11410 Century Oaks Terrace; mixing it with Sixth Street is a long window. Summit Rooftop is not kept here because public listings disagree about current operating status.

Divorce-party guests are often local friends, not a hotel block. Collecting people in Cedar Park, South Austin, and East Austin before dinner can consume the first hour. Stage at one house, one hotel lobby, or one parking lot, then start the clock.

The return is harder. Friends from different neighborhoods will want different drop-offs after drinks. Write the drop order before anyone boards. Appoint one day-of contact who is not the honoree. Confirm the itinerary with the driver 48 hours before the event. Build 15–20 minutes of buffer for Austin traffic and a group still closing a tab.
