This bus is the answer when the list has crept past twenty-four and the budget has not moved. A group of twenty-two friends for a fortieth birthday, a bachelorette weekend where the whole lake house is coming into town on Saturday, a team that wants everyone on one bus for the holiday party: the 26 keeps the crew together without the step up to the 30 or the jump to a 40. Most of the year it books as the value option in the upper mid-size range; on a peak weekend it books because it is the one still open.
Big groups do best with fewer, better stops, and the 26 rewards that. A bachelorette Saturday might be photos at the rental house in Travis Heights, dinner on South Congress, then two or three hours between Rainey and East 6th with the bus as home base. A company group moves from a private dining room on West 6th to a venue on Red River and back to the hotel. A concert crew gets one clean drop at the Moody Center and one pickup on a side street after the encore. Each of those works well when the timing is settled ahead of the night.
Twenty to twenty-four is the comfortable range, and it leaves room to move. At twenty-six the cabin is full and the middle floor is mostly feet.
