Forty-six seats covers a school trip with two classes and chaperones, a large church retreat heading toward Marble Falls, or a corporate event with a substantial team, all in one vehicle on one schedule. It is the last size before the fleet switches from shuttle to coach, and for a university event it gets requested alongside those coaches on graduation weekend and UT football Saturdays, so eight weeks ahead is not too early for those dates.
That switch matters. This shuttle has forward-facing fixed seats, overhead racks, climate control, a PA system, and a rear luggage area. It does not have a restroom, reclining seats, promised Wi-Fi, or under-floor bays. For hotel loops, conference shuttles, and day trips within a couple of hours of Austin it is the lower-cost option; for a Dallas or Houston charter, the coach is the better vehicle and we say so rather than sending forty-six people down I-35 without a restroom.
Groups near this size often grow before the date. A list at forty-six with RSVPs still open, or a route where a restroom would make the day easier, is a good reason to see the 48 passenger coach priced alongside it and compare. Full-size coach quotes in our booking data have historically worked out to a median of about $45 per passenger, the lowest per-seat cost in the fleet, so the step up is smaller than most people expect.

The 46 Passenger Shuttle Bus is the largest vehicle on the site before the full coaches, so the comparison that matters is with the 48 Passenger Coach Bus. Choose this shuttle for a festival, a race, or a stadium day where the runs are short and the bus needs to use tight drop zones near Zilker or a hotel entrance in Round Rock. Choose the coach when the ride is over 90 minutes, the group wants a restroom and WiFi, or the luggage would not fit in a shuttle's rear space. Against the 44 Passenger Shuttle Bus, the extra two seats matter only when you are already at 43 or 44; otherwise the two are interchangeable. The 45 Passenger Party Bus is a different product for a different night.
