Weddings are where the forty-eight shows up most. A Saturday in October has it running three loops between a South Congress hotel block and a venue off US-290, guests out at 3:30 and 4:15, ceremony at 5:30, then two return runs at 10:00 and midnight. The restroom means no stop at the Y in Oak Hill, and the reclining rows mean the grandparents on the first return are comfortable. Choose the shuttle instead for short in-town runs where the bus has to use a hotel entrance or a tight drop zone that a 45-foot coach cannot. Against the 50 Passenger Coach Bus, the two are the same body and the same amenities, so the only reason to step up is a count of 47 or 48 with a couple of open seats wanted. For a San Antonio day trip or a Spurs game, this is the smallest coach that does the job well.
