Why we ask what we ask

The poll categories mirror the questions Austin groups actually bring us. A few numbers from our own records explain why the list looks the way it does.

How the polls fit into an Austin trip plan

Most groups that call us have the date and a rough number of people but not a clear idea of where the night goes. The polls are a fast way to figure that out. A bachelorette planner can open the Bachelorette Parties category, see that brunch beats spa day as the kickoff activity, and then check the Austin favorites to pick the actual brunch spot. A prom parent can see how other parents ranked safety, timing, style, and cost, then use the Prom page to read how a 16- to 18-passenger group usually splits between a party bus and an SUV limo.

We built the categories around what shows up in our own inquiry records. Saturday is requested on 55% of Austin inquiries, 11- to 20-passenger groups are the majority, and most people reach out 8 to 30 days ahead. That is why the booking polls ask about how far ahead to book, deposits, and pickup times rather than abstract questions.

Austin favorites: BBQ, tacos, brunch, and nightlife

The ten Austin favorites categories only list places in the Austin area. Vote on the best brisket, breakfast tacos, late-night pizza, cocktail bars, sushi, seafood, coffee, burgers, and vegan spots. Because the options are local, the leaders in each category make a ready-made night out for a food tour, bar crawl, or brunch bus route.

When you reach out, mention the winners you want to hit. We will put them in drive-time order and tell you which ones have curb space for a 20-passenger bus versus a 45-passenger bus. Rainey Street and East 6th, for example, are very different places to load a bus.

Planning polls: events, vehicles, booking, and routes

The planning categories are grouped so you can move from the occasion to the vehicle to the booking details. Event polls cover everything from prom and weddings to casino trips and holiday parties. Vehicle polls ask what people expect from a party bus, stretch or SUV limo, or shuttle and coach. Booking polls cover deposits, tipping, BYOB rules, overtime, and minimum hours.

You will also find a set of Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Pflugerville, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Temple, and Killeen questions. Those sit on the matching service area pages so a group in Georgetown sees Georgetown polls first.

What the votes look like on a Saturday night

The BBQ poll is the one that changes plans. A group of fourteen leaving Round Rock at five will read that Franklin is winning, look at the line, and pick the runner-up in East Austin instead, which is exactly the point. The taco poll tends to settle the late stop, since the places that win it are the ones still open at one in the morning near Rainey and East Sixth. The brunch poll fills the Sunday morning after a bachelorette weekend, when nobody wants to decide anything and a patio under live oaks with mimosas already wins.

The planning polls do quieter work. A prom parent who sees that most families voted for one central pickup stops arguing for six house stops. A wedding planner who sees that guests prefer two shuttle waves over one big departure builds the timeline that way. None of it is science, and the sample is whoever found this page, but it is a few hundred Austin groups thinking about the same night you are.

Sharing and embedding a poll

Every poll card has an embed option. Copy the snippet into a wedding website, a school PTA page, or a group chat link, and the votes count toward the same totals shown here. Results embeds show a live bar chart. The credit link back to this page stays in the snippet so readers can find the full set.

Poll questions, answered

How voting works, why the categories exist, and how to use the results when you plan your night.

They are short, one-tap questions grouped by what you are planning: Austin food and nightlife favorites, event types like prom or a bachelorette weekend, vehicle choices, and booking questions such as deposits or tipping. Every vote is counted live and shown on the poll results page.
No. Tap an answer and it counts. We store a one-way hashed device signature so one person cannot stack the same poll, and we never collect names, emails, or exact addresses from a vote.
They show you what other Austin groups picked. If most bachelorette groups say a brewery stop comes first, or most prom parents say safety outranks style, that shapes where the night goes and which bus we suggest.
Start with the category that matches your occasion, then open the vehicle and booking groups. Prom groups usually check Prom, SUV Limos, and Booking Lead Times. Wedding planners check Weddings, Shuttle Buses, and Pickup Windows.
Yes. Every poll card has an embed option that gives you one HTML snippet with a live iframe. Votes placed on your site count toward the same totals shown here.
Votes post immediately. The category totals you see on the polls page refresh within a few minutes so the numbers stay consistent across the site.
Yes. The BBQ, taco, brunch, coffee, cocktail, and other favorites polls list Austin-area spots only, so they double as a shortlist when you are building a food tour or bar crawl route.
